2005 Pumpkin Fest - Saturday, Oct. 8 Aurora Community Center 10 A.M. - 3 P.M.

Mark your fall calendar for Aurora's PumpkinFest on Satururday, Oct. 8. in dowtown Aurora from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is sponsored by the Aurora Chamber of Commerce and community volunteers. This is definitely an affordable "Family Day" in Aurora, as children can decorate pumpkins for only $1 and design faces on cookies (free) in the Community Center. Two clowns will spend the day entertaining the kids with jokes and balloon characters. In the Fire Hall, children can play pumpkin games, (for only 50¢ ea.) and have volunteers apply free "pumpkin" face and hand art designs. The whole family will want to take a carriage ride down Main St., Aurora for $1 per person and enjoy the craft show at the Community Center and the Quilt Show with hands-on demos at the Library. The outside farmers market (in the community center parking lot) will provide produce, pumpkins, corn stalks and still more craft items! Of course, wonderful food, including homemade pumpkin pie will also be available at the Community Center. Visitors will also enjoy the "Community-wide, Business Pride" promotion of the festival, where local businesses are asked to decorate for the event with a scarecrow display. Each year, visitors remark on the wonderful Family fun that is still available at an event like PumpkinFest. Doesn't your family deserve a day in Aurora? See you on Oct.8. The "5 lb. Candy Bar Drawing" and "Count The Pumpkins" events, will not take place this year.

QUILT SHOW DISPLAY Quilts needed for this years display. Call Linda at 229-2619. All quilts must be registered before they are included in this display. INSIDE SPACE $20 per table, limit one! Limited to crafts only. No baked goods.   OUTSIDE SPACE Individuals and organizations are invited to participate with food, produce, baked goods and games at Community Square. Cost only $15 for 8 ft. space. NO FLEA MARKET ITEMS

A huge Special Thanks goes to Marianne & Stan Schotzko who were coming to Pumpkinfest and graciously traveled 7 hours with 175 pumkins, so the kids had pumkins to decorate!
